A Charlotte chef accused of messaging 13-year-old is facing backlash after alleged explicit Instagram messages surfaced on social media.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A chef in Charlotte, North Carolina is under fire after a man went public with disturbing allegations involving his 13-year-old sister.
According to screenshots shared on X (formerly Twitter), 29-year-old Caleb Jamaal McIlwain, identified online as the owner of Mun-Cheez Gourmet Soul Food, allegedly sent inappropriate and sexually explicit messages to a minor via Instagram DMs.
An X user, @Davo50b, posted a photo of McIlwain along with alleged screenshots of the Instagram exchange. In the caption, he accused the chef of sending explicit content to his teenage sister and warned others to be cautious.
“Me and my teenage sister saw him selling plates, and he told her to follow his Instagram to show love. This h*e-a*s n***a started sending d*** pictures trying to f*** her. I’m f***ing tight! Went to the courthouse today!”
In the alleged conversation, the man—identified in the messages as Caleb—reportedly asked the teen her age after recognizing her from a previous food purchase.
When the girl allegedly responded that she was 13, the messages reportedly escalated.
Screenshots circulating online appear to show sexually suggestive comments and an explicit image allegedly sent after the minor stopped responding. The teen reportedly replied, “woah, nah I’m blocking you.”
The authenticity of the messages has not been independently verified by authorities at this time.
The X user claimed he went to the courthouse following the incident and stated that authorities were looking for Caleb. Since the screenshots began circulating, social media users have alleged that the chef changed the name of his Instagram account after being exposed.
