Police have arrested 40-year-old Travis Wynton Huff for the murder of his girlfriend, 41-year-old Rebecca Rene Carter. Carter, the manager of CubeSmart Storage on Trinity Road, was found dead in her on-site apartment on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

According to Cary Police, officers responded to a call at CubeSmart Storage manager murder just before 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Carter’s body inside the apartment connected to the leasing office, where she resided. Huff was present at the scene and reportedly made incriminating statements, leading to his immediate arrest.
