Suspect Arrested In Raleigh Bank RobberiesÂ
28-year-old Nicholas Paul McLeod of Charlotte is behind bars after allegedly pulling off not one, but TWO bold daylight bank robberies on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Around 10:58 a.m., McLeod allegedly walked into theState Employees Credit Union (SECU) on North Raleigh Street in Angier and threatened an employee, according to warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat. The warrants state that McLeod made off with $1,429.
He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping. In the kidnapping charge, warrants allege that McLeod confined the employee for the purpose of the robbery.
Less than an hour later, around 11:46 a.m., McLeod hit the Truist Bank on Oberlin Road in Raleigh’s Village District. Warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat say he stole $2,050 and passed a chilling note that read:
“not make a sound. I have a gun. Put all the 50s and 100s in an envelope. If you use a dye pack, I will turn around and shoot you.”
Caught in Vance County
Within hours, McLeod was arrested in Vance County, after quick coordination between the Raleigh Police Department and NC State Highway Patrol.
He is in jail with no bond.
