Authorities have formally charged 55-year-old Anthony Reese with murder in connection to the death of his girlfriend, 56-year-old Angela Fuller. The announcement came during a press conference held by Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook on Thursday afternoon.
Angela Harley Fuller, a beloved 56-year-old resident of Columbia, South Carolina, was reported missing by her family on August 29, 2025. Described by loved ones as a vibrant and caring individual, Fuller was last known to be in the company of her boyfriend, Anthony Reese.
Fuller’s disappearance raised immediate red flags, especially given that Reese, her partner, was the last person seen with her and returned her car back with blood in it, according to Fuller’s daughter, Tye Da Bratt.
Angela Fuller was last heard from by her family on August 29, 2025. At the time, she was reportedly in the company of Anthony Reese. Just two days later, on August 31, Reese was arrested on unrelated charges.
These included failure to stop for blue lights, unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon, and use of a license plate not issued to the vehicle. He was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.

As the days passed and Angela remained missing. On September 10, 2025, Columbia Police publicly named Anthony Reese as a person of interest in her disappearance.
Tragically, the very next day—September 11—Angela Fuller’s remains were discovered along Shakespeare Road, also referred to as Shakespeare Lane, in northeast Richland County near the Dentsville area. The Richland County Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity and began further examination to determine the cause of death.
Reese, now faces the grave accusation of murder, unauthorized removal of a dead body, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen pistol. He remains in jail with no bond.

A celebration of life for Angela Fuller is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Second Nazareth Baptist Church, located at 2300 Elmwood Avenue in Columbia.
