Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie claims Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman took the bag promising a Trump pardon — now he wants his refund.
Lil Boosie is not playing with his money. The “Wipe Me Down” rapper sued two right-wing political operatives after allegedly dropping $600,000 upfront for a presidential pardon from Donald Trump… that never materialized. Now he’s fighting to get at least $300K back in arbitration.
According to a report from NOTUS, Back on September 30, 2024, Boosie signed on with Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman of JM Burkman & Associates. These dudes apparently came in pitching themselves as having major pull inside Trump’s circle. Boosie later said they were “real aggressive” and “talking like they had Trump on speed dial.”
He paid the full $600,000 bag upfront, hoping they could make his federal gun case disappear with a clean pardon.
New Year’s Eve Promise Turns Into Nothing
On New Year’s Eve 2024, Burkman allegedly texted that the president “had the pardon in hand and is ready to sign.” The very next day — New Year’s Day 2025 — Boosie’s lawyer got the call that the pardon was supposedly signed and just waiting on announcement.
But guess what? Boosie was left hanging with nothing but frustration.
Months later, it became clear no application was even properly filed with the right people. According to reports, a White House source told the outlet that Wohl and Burkman “had no juice” and that their involvement would “actively harm” any real clemency chances.
The retainer agreement was apparently full of typos and errors, but one key clause stood out: $300,000 was supposed to be refundable if no pardon came through by close of business on January 31, 2025.
Boosie says they didn’t deliver, so he wants his coins. He terminated the relationship in March 2025 and took the fight to arbitration with the American Arbitration Association.
The lobbyists are pushing back hard. They’re claiming they did massive, tailored work behind the scenes, dropped names of big MAGA influencers (some of whom later denied any involvement), and that their firm was dealing with its own financial headaches from previous legal issues. They’ve even argued they never saw the signed contract until arbitration started.
While all this was going down, Boosie was already sentenced in January 2025 to time served plus three years of supervised release on the federal gun charge. Prosecutors have since tried to revoke that supervised release over a separate incident.
Boosie fired back on X just hours after news of his lawsuit broke. In two posts, the Baton Rouge rapper directly called out Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, accusing them of lying about their connections and demanding his money back.
“JACK SHUT YO LYING A*S UP!! … U WAS SUED N MARCH … I GAVE U 3 MONTHS TO SEND MY MONEY BACK!! … U PLAYED WITH THE WRONG ONE. IM SUING YALL N FEDERAL COURT NOW #PONZISCHEME”

In a second post, he added:
“EVERYONE U SAID U REACHED OUT TO FOR MY PARDON HAS SAID U R LYING!! EVERY NAME YOU NAMED HAS DENIED YOUR ALLEGATIONS!! … SO WHERE DID THE MONEY GO? I THOUGHT TRUMP SIGNED THE PARDON? I THOUGHT U HAD THE PRESIDENT ON SPEED DIAL?”
