What started as a search for a missing 30-year-old mother has turned into a homicide.
On or around June 26, 2026, Jordan Elaine Wishon was reported missing from the South Church Street area of Mooresboro in Rutherford County, North Carolina. The 5’2″, 170-pound mother with dark brown hair and brown eyes vanished — and within days, the case turned deadly.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton. There, they found human remains buried on the property. The remains were positively identified as Jordan Elaine Wishon.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office officially upgraded the case from missing person to homicide investigation. They obtained an arrest warrant charging 25-year-old Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton of Rutherfordton with First-Degree Murder.
Hamilton was already behind bars at the Polk County Detention Center on unrelated charges when the warrant was issued.
As the investigation continued, detectives uncovered what they describe as a network of individuals who allegedly assisted Hamilton after the murder or actively worked to conceal the crime.
As of July 8, 2026, six additional people have been charged in connection with the murder of Jordan Wishon. All remain incarcerated.
Christina Hamilton — Charged with Accessory After the Fact

Alexis Nicole Morgan — Charged with Accessory After the Fact and Failure to Report a Death
Ronald David Gibson — Charged with Accessory After the Fact and Failure to Report a Death
