Gregory Baskins Jr., a 32-year-old High Point man, is being held without bond after police charged him with a statutory sex offense involving a child under the age of 15.
GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. – A High Point, North Carolina man is now sitting behind bars with no bond after police say he committed a serious sex crime involving a minor.
According to arrest warrants, 32-year-old Gregory Charles Baskins Jr. has been charged with statutory sexual offense with a child under the age of 15.
Court documents state that Baskins allegedly “feloniously engaged in a sexual act with a juvenile” who was 15 years old or younger at the time of the alleged offense. The alleged incident is listed in court records as taking place on January 24, 2026.
Baskins was taken into custody Wednesday morning and transported to jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
According to court records, his next court appearance is scheduled for April 7, 2026.
