A former Wake County teacher and youth pastor is facing multiple sex crimes charges involving children after a Holly Springs police investigation.
WAKE COUNTY, N.C. – A North Carolina community is in shock after a former Wake County teacher and youth pastor was arrested and hit with a stack of serious charges tied to alleged crimes involving children. His wife — who works as an assistant principal in Wake County Public Schools — was also taken into custody during the investigation.

According to authorities, investigators with the Holly Springs Police Department, working alongside the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), served arrest warrants for Mikah Douglas Brondyke and Chloe Grace Brondyke following a criminal investigation.
Police say the case centers around alleged online activity and materials involving minors.
Charges Against Mikah Douglas Brondyke
Investigators say Mikah Brondyke is facing multiple felony charges, including:

4 counts of soliciting a child by computer

4 counts of indecent liberties with a child

10 counts of disseminating obscenity

1 count of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor

1 count of felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance
- 1 count of felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances

Authorities say he is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center under a $620,000 secured bond. He is expected to appear in court for his first appearance hearing tomorrow in Franklin County.
Wife — A Wake County Assistant Principal — Also Charged
During the investigation, officers also arrested Chloe Grace Brondyke, who works as an assistant principal in Wake County Public Schools.
She is facing two felony drug-related charges:

Investigators have not publicly detailed whether the drug charges are connected to the alleged exploitation investigation.
