Authorities have arrested a 19-year-old named Sierra Chambers, who allegedly helped the suspected person responsible for the tragic drive-by shooting that claimed the life of 7-year-old Zion Gibbs, of Fayetteville.
Gibbs was innocently enjoying a video game on his couch at the time of the shooting in June. Chambers now faces serious charges as a felony accessory after the fact in this heart-breaking case.

Law enforcement had been on the lookout for a black Chrysler 200, which was eventually discovered on private property in Winston-Salem, with a bullet hole on the passenger side and a noticeable dent on the driver’s door.
According to police warrants, this Gibbs is accused of helping the alleged shooter evade police. The alleged suspect’s alias was named in the warrant but no official name.

Investigators noted that Chambers took steps to disguise her vehicle, even going so far as to peel off a white sticker from her back windshield and stashing the car in Wargram, outside Fayetteville‘s police jurisdiction.
Since the tragic loss of young Gibbs, several suspects have been identified, but Chambers is the first to be publicly named in connection with the case.
She currently sits behind bars, held on a $100,000 secured bond.
