Wilson Women Under Investigation
Two best friends are under criminal investigation, law enforcement sources told The North Carolina Beat.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Carolyn Towanda Bynum and Ebony Nicolle Robinson. The two reportedly have been under criminal investigation since July 18, 2025, after allegations surfaced that Ebony had been sexually involved with Towanda’s son starting when he was just 15 years old.
Alleged text messages between Towanda and Ebony not only show that Towanda knew about the inappropriate relationship, but she also had proof. What’s even more shocking is that Ebony reportedly admits to it the in the messages and tells Towanda she’s “okay” if she turns her in to police.
Despite this admission, no charges have been filed—yet.
Instead of reporting the crime, Towanda and Ebony linked up Monday night on Facebook Live, and it was a clown show. The women were seen laughing, smiling, and making jokes about the situation.
Towanda was on live saying, “I can’t do shit now,” while Ebony grinned ear-to-ear, showing zero remorse for allegedly sleeping with a minor.
During The North Carolina Beat live show about the story Wednesday night, law enforcement sources say the Wilson PD had been flooded with calls – and has confirmed that Wilson County Sheriff’s Office already had a case open—but are now actively following up due to the public pressure and new exposure.
