The police department in Wilson, North Carolina has apprehended eight men, aged between 18 and 22, in connection with what they describe as gang-related shootings in the area.
Eric McInerny, the Public Information Officer for the Wilson PD, informed the media that officers have responded to multiple reports of gunfire linked to gang activity over the past few weeks.
“Throughout the investigations, several individuals were identified as being responsible for these events,” said Eric McInerny.
The arrested individuals include:
– 21-year-old Joshua Elijah Strickland, facing 15 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, four counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $1,050,000 secured.
– 20-year-old Taveon Lavontae Allen, charged with 15 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $1 million secured.
– 19-year-old Kenneth Marquette Edwards, facing 15 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $2 million secured.
– 18-year-old Zakeithian Keyshonta Royster, charged with 15 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $1 million secured.
– 19-year-old Raz’mire Talik Ward, charged with two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $1 million secured.
– 22-year-old Miguel Miquon Taylor, charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon. He is currently in jail without bond due to a parole violation.
– 19-year-old George Antwan Turner Jr., charged with two counts of felony conspiracy. His bond is set at $50,000 secured.
