Police investigating the Wilson motel shooting say one man was killed and a 55-year-old woman is now charged with murder.
WILSON, N.C. – Authorities in Wilson are investigating a deadly shooting that unfolded Saturday morning at a local motel, leaving one man dead and a woman facing a murder charge.
Wilson Police say officers were dispatched around 10 a.m. to the America’s Best Value Inn along U.S. 301 after receiving reports of a gunshot.
When officers arrived, they found 39-year-old Kenneth Ray Finch unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As officers searched the surrounding area, they located 55-year-old Daisy Muldrow hiding in a wooded area behind the motel. Investigators took her into custody without incident.

Muldrow has since been charged with murder in connection with Finch’s death.
She is currently being held in the Wilson County Jail with no bond and is expected to make her first court appearance on Monday.
