It’s a sad day in my home state, Alabama.
Two Alabama teenagers are dead after they were killed in a car accident moments after leaving their high school prom in Tuscaloosa, Alabama early Saturday morning.
According to police, around 1:50 a.m. officer responded to reports that a 2022 Tesla and a semi-truck had collided, and the Tesla was pinned under the truck’s trailer, trapping four occupants.
The deceased victims have been identified as 17-year-old Madison Sims, who was driving the car, and 18-year-old Samuel Brown, the front-seat passenger.

Both Sims and Brown were pronounced dead on the scene.
Sims was a student at Bryant High, while Brown was a student at R.C. Hatch High School, where he played on the basketball and football team.
Rumor is that the Tesla Sims and Brown were in had malfunctioned before the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
