Authorities Expand Search Efforts as Family Pleads for Information in Ongoing Goldsboro Missing Person Case
McNeil was last known to be in a residential area of Goldsboro late on the night of Saturday, November 8. When family members were unable to reach him, they contacted police, and a missing person report was filed on November 10.
Since then, investigators have expanded their efforts. In mid-November, the Goldsboro Police Department launched a round-the-clock tip line to gather information from the public, hoping even small details might help them track McNeil’s movements after he was last seen.
A coordinated search operation was conducted on November 20 in partnership with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Teams searched portions of southern Wayne County, focusing on areas believed to be relevant to the investigation.
Despite the extensive effort, no evidence confirming McNeil’s location was found.
Police say the case remains active, and they continue to follow up on every lead. McNeil’s family and the community are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone who may have seen Tra’sond McNeil or has information related to his disappearance is asked to contact the Goldsboro Police Department as the investigation continues.
