A Caldwell County woman is facing charges after investigators say Tesla Cybertruck cameras captured her allegedly using a nail-covered board to damage the vehicle.
COLLETTSVILLE, N.C. — Not a Cybertruck catching smoke from a 67-year-old.
A North Carolina woman is now facing charges after deputies say she took things way too far — allegedly pulling up with a board full of nails and going to work on a man’s Tesla Cybertruck like it was target practice.

According to investigators in Caldwell County, the wild situation unfolded on Sunday, March 15, when the vehicle’s owner reported his futuristic ride had been intentionally damaged.
And it wasn’t no hit-and-run.
Authorities say the Cybertruck’s built-in cameras caught everything on video.
Detectives say the footage allegedly shows Karen Lewis, 67, using what’s being described as a wooden board with nails sticking out of it to scratch up the vehicle.

That footage reportedly made it easy for deputies to quickly identify Lewis as the suspect.
She was later arrested and charged with misdemeanor injury to personal property.
Lewis was taken into custody and given a $1,000 secured bond, according to jail records.
As of now, officials have not released details on what sparked the alleged attack or whether the victim and Lewis knew each other.
