According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened around 6:09 p.m. as Robinson attempted to make a left turn onto Forlines Road from the school’s parking lot in Winterville.

Investigators say her vehicle was struck by a westbound car.

Robinson died at the scene. The other driver was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover. At this time, no charges are expected.

Authorities are still investigating what factors — including speed, visibility, or road design — may have contributed to the crash.

Students, teachers, and parents at South Central High are struggling to process the sudden loss.

Principal Chena Cayton remembered Kimora as “a light in the classroom,” known for her positive energy, kindness, and bright future ahead.
