No Charges Filed in Rocky Mount Shooting That Killed 16-Year-old Teen
A 16-year-old old North Carolina boy was gunned down in a Rocky Mount shooting and the person responsible won’t be facing charges.
It happened late Saturday night in Rocky Mount. Officers responded to a home on Center Street around 10:26 p.m., where they found Larry Davis, just 16 years old, suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders rushed to save him, but sadly, Davis died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

According to police, a known suspect was identified at the scene. But investigators say no charges will be filed due to “facts known at the time.” The exact details of what happened between family members remain murky.
“This is an unfortunate situation between family members, and our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tragic loss,” said a spokesperson with the Rocky Mount Police Department.
Police say the case is still under investigation.
