A North Carolina woman from Raleigh was released on a $1 unsecured bond for allegedly running over her husband’s leg with a car.
According to court documents, 48-year-old Shauna Davis was arrested on Sunday, November 2, and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police allege Davis used a Cadillac sedan to strike her husband, running over his left leg during a domestic dispute.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Davis’s release paperwork shows that a magistrate gave her a $1 unsecured bond, meaning she didn’t have to post cash or collateral — just sign herself out of custody.
Davis is scheduled to appear in court on December 12, 2025.
