CLASSY CRITTERS EMPLOYEE ARRESTED
Authorities have officially dropped the hammer on 28-year-old Kirsten Rhea Taylor, a now-former employee of Classy Critters pet grooming business in Mooresville, after disturbing surveillance video allegedly caught her beating and manhandling multiple dogs entrusted in her care.
According to Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell, Animal Services first caught wind of the abuse on Friday, July 18, after a brave coworker blew the whistle and handed over footage that left even seasoned investigators speechless.

On the footage was Dogs—real clients’ pets—being struck, yanked, and violently mishandled during grooming sessions like they were trash instead of beloved fur babies.Â

After reviewing the evidence, Detective Sergeant P. Irwin moved fast and furious, securing four felony arrest warrants against Taylor for animal cruelty. Authorities say the videos show at least four separate dogs being abused in clearly intentional and aggressive ways.
The investigation is far from over. Detectives are still tracking down other pet parents, interviewing witnesses, and digging through any and all evidence that could lead to even more charges.
Taylor was on the run but has since been arrested and was given $10,000 bond.
