Law enforcement in Bladen County, North Carolina has taken into custody, a man who allegedly fatally shot his girlfriend, who was 25 weeks pregnant.
The incident occurred on June 4, 2024, at around 10:33 p.m., when the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the vicinity of the 100 block of Dixon Road in Riegelwood, North Carolina. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Bolivia Monique Williams, a 33-year-old resident of Whiteville, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Tragically, Williams succumbed to her injuries at the scene, as stated in the press released from Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
Murder suspect CAPTURED
The suspect in question is identified as 31-year-old Najee Devon Leach from Riegelwood, as confirmed by witnesses. Leach was taken into custody at 4:00 p.m., according to Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
A manhunt had been set for  Leach who was considered armed and dangerous, and noted that he recently altered his appearance by cutting off his dreadlocks. It was reported that he was driving a gold 2006 Subaru Forester with license plate number VAK-7395.
Following the alleged shooting and subsequent death of Williams, Leach reportedly visited his Facebook profile and posted on social media asserting that Williams was expected to have feelings of affection towards him.
“U posed to love me but gon thug me,” Leach said in his post.
