A man from North Carolina who vanished last Tuesday while on a car-detailing job site in Zebulon, Kareem Shabazz, has been found dead in a small drainage pond, as reported by the Zebulon Police Department.
In a somber announcement, the department announced that they believe they have located the body of Kareem Shabazz in the Weaver’s Pond neighborhood, where he was last spotted around 2 p.m. last Tuesday. Shabazz, a car detailer, was in Zebulon for work.

When he went missing, authorities were uncertain about the path he took after leaving his work site.
“He left on foot and it is not known which direction or where he was walking to at this time,” according to a statement Zebulon police released to CBS17.com.
The police confirmed that the body recovered was indeed Shabazz, “based on appearance and clothing.” Police said they found Shabazz after receiving a call about an unresponsive person in the Weaver’s Pond neighborhood around 2 p.m., Monday.
