We are living in the last days y’all….FORREAL!
A man and woman were found shot dead inside a car with two children in the backseat Thursday morning, according to Rocky Mount Police.
Officials say the two “toddler-age” children were in the backseat of the car overnight while the bodies of 24-year-old Destiny Wiggins and 28-year-old Devone Brown were in the front seat.
Around 6 a.m. Thursday morning, employees at Barnhill Contracting Co. on Construction Drive in Rocky Mount discovered the bodies and called 911.Â
According to police, Wiggins nor Brown was an employee of the Barnhill Contracting Company.
Both bodies were found inside a Cadillac, a tow truck company that towed the vehicle told local media.
The North Carolina Beat learned that both children in the car were Wiggins daughters.Â
Both of the girls were transported to UNC Nash Healthcare to be treated for hypothermia. The temperatures were 30 degrees overnight. Police say the incident is isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Friday, police arrested a man named Eric Coley in this murder investigation.
Coley is charged with first-degree murder.
