North Carolina man and woman allegedly hid cocaine in a cheeseburger, which was discovered by a narcotics agent during a traffic stop

A man was visibly upset in his mugshot, while a woman seemed to be smiling, as narcotic agents in Lee County made a surprising discovery during a routine traffic stop. Hidden inside a cheeseburger, they found cocaine, along with a stash of drugs and firearms in the car.

The incident took place last Tuesday on Rose Street and Woodland Avenue in Sanford, where authorities uncovered fentanyl, cocaine, clonazepam, marijuana, and two guns inside the vehicle.

The driver, De Anthonie Trey Vion Taylor, 23, was promptly arrested and hit with a slew of charges, including possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and firearm-related offenses.

His passenger, Brianna Marie Smith, 24, also faced a string of charges, such as possession with intent to distribute controlled substances and carrying a concealed weapon.

Smith was taken into custody and is currently being held in Lee County Jail on a $50,000 bond, while Taylor has already posted bail and been released.
