According to Nisha, she received a phone call stating that her son was being rushed to a Washington, D.C. hospital.
“I walked into the trauma room with 8-10 doctors surrounding my son. This is the most heartbreaking and traumatizing situation my family has ever been through,” Nisha wrote in her emotional Facebook post.
The mother stated that when the principal went into the bathroom, her son was found “foaming at the mouth and unconscious.”

According to Carrie Burke, the principal of C. Paul Barnhart Elementary, Nisha’s son and another student were “horse playing” in the school bathroom when Nisha’s son’s jacket got caught on a stall door hook.
