The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has uncovered a troubling pattern at KinderCare Daycare located on Stantonsburg Road in Greenville, a place already under scrutiny after a child was discovered wandering alone in a busy road in August.
As reported by WITN, state regulators have identified additional concerns at the daycare. The scary incident involving 3-year-old Marley Burgess, who was left unsupervised and found in the middle of the road, has yet to be addressed in a DHHS‘s official findings report.

Kindercare caught again
Since that terrifying event, the Department of Health and Human Services has conducted at least three surprise inspections at KinderCare. During two of these visits, they discovered violations. Most recently, on Wednesday, inspectors noted that both the front and lobby doors were left wide open during a food truck delivery, with no staff present to oversee the situation.
In a previous unannounced check on September 24, regulators caught a staff member sleepingwhile supposed to be supervising the children. However, KinderCarestaff have since claimed that the sleepy teacher is no longer employed.
