The renowned Gospel artist and pastor of Perfecting Church in Detroit, Bishop Marvin Winans, is okay after he passed out at his Toledo, Ohio church earlier this week, in a video that is circulating.
In the video that has made its rounds on social media, the 66-year-old Winans can be seen teaching the Word of God before he begins to lean forward, swaying left and right, before ultimately collapsing to the floor. It appears that the congregation was unaware of what was happening to their pastor until he hit the ground.
In a reassuring livestream on Friday, Bishop Winans addressed his followers, telling them that he was “fine.” He recounted the incident from Wednesday, October 16, while ministering at his Perfecting Church in Toledo.
“On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, I was teaching at our church in Toledo, and I had an unexplained episode…where I jus…the doctor thinks it might’ve been dehydration but I just sort of lost consciousness for a moment, Winans stated during his livestream.
Emergency responders arrived and to check on him.
“They[EMS] came, checked me out… my heart is good, my vitals are good, and I am in good shape, Winans said. “So often, we work ourselves too much, and that seems to have been the problem there.”

“The devil is a lie! I’m going to be around, I’m not gonna be sick, I’m not gonna be on this or [that]…so you can tell all the folk on YouTube trying to kill me off… I aint going nowhere, Winans told his congregation in July, according to Detroit Praise Network.
