Kyle Wagner, a Minnesota man who openly identified as antifa online, has been federally charged after prosecutors say his posts encouraged violence against federal immigration officers.
MINNESOTA — The Justice Department announced Thursday that Kyle Wagner, a Minnesota man who openly identified himself as “antifa” online, has been federally charged after investigators say he repeatedly pushed violent rhetoric — including encouraging followers to arm themselves against federal immigration officers.
According to prosecutors, Wagner used social media platforms to post aggressive videos and messages aimed at disrupting immigration enforcement operations. Authorities say what started as activism escalated into calls for violence, with Wagner allegedly urging people to grab guns and take matters into their own hands.

Court filings allege Wagner didn’t just post heated opinions — he allegedly pushed followers toward real-world action. Investigators say his posts included threats aimed at federal officers and messages that promoted armed resistance to immigration enforcement in Minnesota.
Prosecutors also accuse Wagner of doxxing, claiming he collected and shared personal information of people he viewed as opponents in order to intimidate or harass them.
Wagner wasn’t hiding behind anonymous accounts, either.
In videos shared online, he reportedly introduced himself by declaring “I’m antifa.”
After Wagner was taken into custody, Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement making it clear the administration considers the case a serious warning.

She accused Wagner of encouraging violence against law enforcement and claimed his online activity went far beyond protected speech.
