Kinston woman arrested for allegedly trying to run over her boyfriend

A woman from Kinston, North Carolina got herself in hot water when she allegedly attempted to mow down her boyfriend with a car last Friday.

What’s the tea, you ask? Well, it all went down on Old Snow Hill Road in the wee hours of the morning. The Kinston Police were called in after reports of a dramatic chase involving a vehicle. When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Jeronte Dudley from La Grange and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Keola Thompson from Kinston, in the midst of the chaos. 

Under the influence 

In the midst of the police probe, authorities revealed that Thompson was allegedly intoxicated when she attempted to mow down Dudley. In her reckless pursuit, she ended up colliding with a trash can.

Thompson was subsequently apprehended and accused of driving while intoxicated, committing assault with a deadly weapon, and causing property damage.

Meanwhile, Dudley found himself in custody due to an outstanding  unrelated warrant.

Details regarding bail were not disclosed.
