A Hamlet, North Carolina woman is behind bars after reportedly threatening to kill two children in a disturbing confrontation late last month.
According to The Richmond Observer, 23-year-old Jada Cherise Jones allegedly told the victim and her children that she would “go to Monroe Avenue and kill the kids.” The incident allegedly happened on September 30, and the victim immediately swore out a warrant that same day.
The children involved are only 5 and 9 years old, the outlet reported.
Jones was arrested on Tuesday, October 7, and booked into the Richmond County Jail just before 1:00 p.m.

Jail records show no bond was authorized.
If released, she is to have no contact with the victim, pending further court action.
According to N.C. Department of Adult Correction , Jones is currently serving a 12-month suspended sentence following an August 21 conviction for driving while impaired (DWI).
