Word On The Curb…A Houston pastor, Bishop Robert L. Carter, from the International Bible Way Church of Jesus Christ, INC., USA, has been arrested. Houston police allege that he raped a underage family member over 600 times, getting her pregnant and forcing her to give up the child.
Bishop Carter is the founder and senior pastor of the Sanctuary Church of Jesus Christ in downtown Houston, Texas.

Police arrested the 39-year-old Bishop on Monday and charged him with the sexual assault of a child between the ages of 14 and 17, as well as continuous sexual abuse of a child that began when the victim was 7 years old.
According to court documents, Bishop Carter first started abusing his relative in 2008. Court documents say the accused clergy would allegedly visit the child’s room on a nightly basis and make her perform sexual acts on him. As the victim grew older, Bishop Carter was accused of intensifying his abuse within the home.
He allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the child in the parking lot before dropping her off at school and at his grandmother’s home.

By the time the victim turned 16, warrants were issued for Carter’s arrest after he allegedly impregnated the girl, according to court documents. The victim’s father told local media outlets that Bishop Carter took the baby from the teenager and gave the child away.
The teenager has been trying to regain custody of her child.
