Houston Funeral Home Under Fire After Viral Video Shows Bodies Improperly Stored Like Trash
A Houston funeral home is at the center of a growing firestorm after a grieving son made a gut-wrenching discovery while preparing to bury his mother, and what he saw has shocked the internet.
According to a now-viral video circulating online, Richardson Mortuary, located in Houston, Texas, is under intense scrutiny after multiple uncovered and improperly stored bodies were found inside the facility—some even surrounded by construction workers and intense heat.

Witnesses say the bodies, belonging to various families, were strewn about the building as workers continued renovations with no a/c or freezer to properly store the bodies.
The video footage shows a heartbreaking and disturbing scene: corpses placed haphazardly, some partially covered, others exposed.
One woman told local reporters that when she went inside the funeral home, she saw a blue cover on top of a casket. When she opened it, she discovered it was her mother inside—surrounded by gnats.
“She had gnats in her face. She had already started sweating. And as I was putting the cover back over her, I saw other dead bodies,” the woman told reporters. “I saw at least four bodies uncovered and 18 in boxes.”

The woman went on to say that people’s loved ones were just sitting there, surrounded by gnats. Local, state, and even federal agencies have since arrived at Richardson Mortuary, with community outrage erupting both online and in person.
Families who trusted the funeral home to care for their deceased loved ones are now demanding answers.
