Police searching for answers in Hendersonville NC homicide after 29-year-old man found shot in the head on Woodcock Drive
The Hendersonville Police Department is investigating a homicide in Hendersonville, North Carolina, after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head on Woodcock Drive Friday night.
According to police, around 8 p.m., multiple 911 calls came in reporting gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they discovered 29-year-old Justin Alan Davis, a Hendersonville resident, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is assisting local police as they work to determine what led to the shooting. Investigators are actively searching for a suspect and motive, but believe this was an isolated incident.
Officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public, though anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact Hendersonville Police immediately.
