Harnett County SRO Accused of Watching P**n Remains Employed Despite Campus Allegations
Sgt. J.J. Hemphill, a former School Resource Officer (SRO) stationed at West Harnett High School, has been reassigned and will not face criminal charges after being accused of watching p**n on campus, officials confirmed Monday.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement saying that while the allegations were taken seriously, no criminal law was violated, and Hemphill would not be arrested.
“Appropriate discipline action has been taken.”
“The deputy involved did not violate any criminal law and thus was not arrested,” the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office said in a Monday news release. “He was assigned other duties within the sheriff’s office.”
That means Hemphill is no longer assigned to any school campus, but remains employed with the agency.
It’s unclear whether the sergeant was watching straight or gay p*********y.
