Halle Bailey
Halle Bailey restraining order against DDG is making national headlines after the Disney star was granted legal protection following shocking domestic violence claims involving her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.). The court-approved restraining order stems from allegations of physical assault, emotional harassment, and unauthorized home entry—all while the pair navigate co-parenting their 17-month-old son, Halo.

January Assault During Custody Exchange
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles County, Bailey states that in January 2025, during a custody exchange, DDG became physically violent after a disagreement over visitation scheduling. As Bailey buckled Halo into his car seat, DDG allegedly shouted profanities, yanked her hair, and slammed her face into the steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth and visible bruises. Despite the trauma, Bailey says she still went to DDG’s residence to protect Halo and later informed his family of what happened.
Halle Bailey reported a disturbing escalation in March. In her filing, she claims DDG entered her home without permission, took a photo of her empty bed, and texted it with insinuations of cheating. A few days later, DDG reportedly returned, became verbally aggressive over their sick child, destroyed her Ring camera, and threw her phone out of his vehicle—while continuing to verbally abuse her.
Photographic evidence of injuries was submitted to law enforcement as part of her request for a restraining order.

Halle Bailey Restraining Order Against DDG Granted
On May 13, a judge officially granted Halle Bailey a restraining order against DDG. The order demands that he stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and prohibits him from discussing her or their son on social media. The court also granted Bailey approval to travel to Italy with Halo for a two-month filming project.
DDG’s Public Response Before the Ruling
Before the restraining order was filed, DDG had publicly addressed their custody issues via livestream and a track titled “Don’t Take My Son.” In both, he alleged that Bailey was keeping him from their son. “I just want to see my son, that’s it. I love being a dad and I want to be a dad, plain and simple,” DDG claimed.
