Greenville IHOP Manager & Ex-Employee Charged in Inside Job Robbery That Snatched Over $3K

IHOP manager and former employee arrested in Greenville robbery scheme

A late-night shift at a Greenville IHOP turned into a real-life heist after police say the restaurant’s night manager conspired with a former employee to pull off an armed robbery that wasn’t on the breakfast menu.

According to arrest warrants obtained by The North Carolina Beat, 30-year-old Chico Jamar Haddock, the night manager at the IHOP on Evans Street, allegedly teamed up with 32-year-old William Charles Brown, a former IHOP worker, to stage a robbery on June 16.

How It Went Down

Police say Brown entered the restaurant masked up and strapped, pointing a gun at a staff member before demanding the cash. But it wasn’t just a random robbery—warrants claim this was all part of an inside job.

Haddock, who had access to the restaurant’s safe, allegedly opened it and handed over $3,294.67 to Brown as part of the scheme. But that’s not even the half of it.

Authorities say Haddock had been embezzling from the IHOP for months, allegedly taking more than $100,000 before staging the holdup.
