‘Freedom Fam Youth’ coach in Goldsboro seen on video grabbing a 15-year-old child around the neck

In Goldsboro, North Carolina, a short-tempered community coach was caught on camera appearing to grab a 15-year-old boy by the neck and later lying to the Goldsboro police about his actions, according to a video obtained by The North Carolina Beat.

For safety reasons, The North Carolina Beat has decided not to disclose the victims’ identities to shield them from any potential backlash from Coach Freedom.

Last Sunday, July 14, the man known as ‘Coach Freedom’ – whose real name is Freedom Uhuru – organized the “12th Annual Youth Fun Day” at 701 S. George Street in Goldsboro.

Sources report that the gathering showcased a diverse array of entertainment options for guests to partake in, such as Gel Blaster Splat War, Water Gun War, 3 v3 basketball, Flag Football, Air Hockey Battle, Pool Table King, and Ping Pong Challenge as advertised on the fun day’s event flyer.

The teens involved in this situation, along with their friends, arrived equipped with their own Splat Guns and sporting tactical gear, fully prepared for some action-packed Gel Blaster Splat War. As per our source who was there, the teenager seen being grabbed by the neck by Uhuru had a collection of Splat guns, including ones in black, gray, and a striking bluish-orange hue.

“Coach Freedom accused the 15-year-old, his brother, and their friends of stealing two guns, but the kids did not take any guns,” the source reported.

Our source shared with us their suspicion that Uhuru had his eyes set on the teenagers. One of the teens, a 16-year-old friend of the assault victim, had a gun taken from him after he willingly showed Uhuru the guns inside a bag to demonstrate that they were not stolen.

As a result of Uhuru allegedly snatching the gray gun that the 16-year-old friend was holding for the victim, it caused a cut to his finger.

SEE PHOTOS BELOW:

According to the source, the gun bore the name of the 15-year-old victim, but the Uhuru didn’t bother to check; he simply grabbed it. The teens informed the coach that the gun belonged to the victim and that it was not stolen and that he needed to give them the property back.

“All he kept saying was ‘no, no, no,’ and then he went upstairs,” the source said.

The group of teenage friends followed Uhuru up the stairs of the building, to find out what he was up to with the gun. They thought, he was going to throw the gun in the trash or destroy it. As they walked up the stairs, a video captured the 15-year-old victim attempting to bypass Uhuru, only to be grabbed by the neck and pushed aside.

Before Uhuru grabbed the 15-year-old victim, you can see him making physical contact with the victim’s 16-year-old brother with his right arm, while proceeding to grab the 15-year-old victim by the neck with his left hand, as the victim tried to walk past him.

WATCH THE VIDEO:

In a conversation with the Goldsboro PD, Uhuru mentioned that he placed the gun in a room until a parent arrived, as he was unsure of its owner. He told Goldsboro police, that the teens tried to jump on him and that he never assaulted them nor did he swing.

However, upon viewing the video footage, according to us, it was clear that Uhuru was the one stirring up trouble.

He is not just a coach, he’s a mentor, a community servant, and a advocate for the young men in this community! We should be giving this man his fliwers, not trying to slander his name! I understand wanting to sell a few ads, but truth in journalism is lost on the internet!
