Four people have been arrested, and one is still wanted after police say they attacked the wrong man they thought was the man in a video having sexual encounters with a 9-year-old girl in Simmesport, Louisiana.
On December 15, The North Carolina Beat reported on the story after the 23-year-old victim’s auntie reached out to us to tell her nephew’s story. According to Jacqueline Watson, the victim’s aunt, the incident happened on December 8, when Kendrick Washington, who is still wanted, Lance Williams, Trinitra Williams, Romo Turner, and Bryant Washington allegedly went to the house of 23-year-old Malik Ballard about an inappropriate video. Watson said the boy in the video was Trinitra’s son, not her nephew.

Videos obtained by The North Carolina Beat showed Malik Ballard being allegedly assaulted with a pistol to his face by Trinitra Williams. Watson said her nephew was beaten by the steps and garage of his home before he was sexually assaulted by allegedly having a finger inserted into his rectum.

30-year-old Romaro Turner, 35-year-old Trinitra Turner, 60-year-old Bryant Washington, and 37-year-old Lance Williams all turned themselves into the police for their roles in the brutal assault. Another person is currently wanted in the case.
The charges all of the alleged suspects are facing are DISTURBING, and they should spend every day of the max behind bars for what they did to this young man.
Simmesport Police Department said the charges stem from the incident where all involved allegedly assaulted and sexually assaulted Ballard in the form of “mislead vigilante justice.”Â
