A double homicide in Greenville NC double homicide March 2025 has left two young men dead and one suspect facing serious charges after a botched robbery attempt turned deadly. The incident, which occurred on March 21 in the Caldwell Court area, claimed the lives of 18-year-old Tiheen Bell of Greenville and 19-year-old Jamere Ravelle of Winterville.
Following an investigation, the Greenville Police Department arrested Jaywon Demario Everett, 19, in connection with the deadly encounter. Everett is charged with open count of murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
According to law enforcement, Everett and Bell allegedly arranged to meet Ravelle at Caldwell Court with the intent to rob him. During the confrontation, The North Carolina news Bell is reported to have shot and killed Ravelle. In response, a fourth, unnamed individual accompanying Ravelle allegedly returned fire in self-defense, fatally wounding Bell.
Police have not filed charges against the fourth individual, and their identity remains confidential at this time.

Everett’s murder charge is based on North Carolina’s felony murder rule, which allows individuals to be held criminally liable for any deaths that occur during the commission or attempted commission of specific felonies — in this case, armed robbery.
The Greenville Police Department states that the investigation is still ongoing. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the fourth person involved or any potential further arrests.
