The inauguration ceremony took place indoors in the Capitol Rotunda due to extreme cold weather conditions, a departure from the traditional outdoor setting. At 12:00 p.m., noon, Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath of office to President Trump.

While, JD Vance was sworn in as the 50th Vice President of the United States by Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The inauguration was attended by a host of dignitaries, including former President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden. Notable absences included Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
High-profile figures such as Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk were also present to witness the ceremony.
In his inaugural address, President Trump outlined plans to revoke many of the previous administration’s executive orders, signaling a shift in policy direction. He emphasized intentions to enforce stricter immigration policies and implement significant reforms in U.S. relations, particularly with Russia.
Following the ceremony, President Trump is expected to sign numerous executive orders, including imposing tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada, and initiating mass deportations.
Speculation also surrounds potential easing of cryptocurrency regulations and pardoning individuals involved in the January 6 events.
