A day care center in Duplin County, North Carolina is currently being investigated following an incident where two children overdosed after ingesting fentanyl pills given to them by an employee last Wednesday.

The children were taken to ECU Health Duplin Hospital and have since been treated and discharged. The child care center, Lou Anna’s Child Care Center in Kenansville, North Carolina, is fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation. It was initially believed that the pills were candy, but they were later identified as suspected fentanyl.
