Chicago Mom And Son Jumped While Walking Home From School
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – Chicago’s Far South Side is heated after a disturbing video went viral showing a mother and her children being attacked by a group of students as they walked home from Orville Bright Elementary School. The incident has triggered full-blown outrage, packed protests outside the school, and demands for immediate expulsions.
The victims have been identified as 33-year-old Carshawnda Hatter and her 9-year-old son, who were both rushed to Trinity Hospital in serious condition.
According to Chicago police, the attack happened just after 3:00 p.m. Monday near 10600 S. Bensley Ave. in the South Deering community. Officers say Hatter and her children were walking on the sidewalk when a group of juveniles approached and began attacking them.
A now-viral video shows students following, yelling, and crowding around the family before multiple kids begin swinging on them.

Standing outside the school Tuesday morning, surrounded by furious community members, Hatter described the terrifying moments leading up to the attack.
“They were literally waiting on the route we walk home just to jump all of us,” she said.
“I told my kids to come to the next side of the street so they wouldn’t get jumped. They followed us all the way… They fought my son first. Then they dragged me in the grass.”
Police escorted Hatter into a closed-door meeting with school administrators while supporters chanted for justice outside.
Hatter said her child has been bullied before — but this incident crossed every line.
“I’m trying to get justice for my son.”
Dozens of parents and residents showed up Tuesday, demanding accountability and long-overdue disciplinary action.
Many demanded immediate expulsions, while others insisted that school leadership and Chicago Public Schools have failed to protect families in the community.
Local media outlets confirmed they’ve reached out to Chicago Public Schools but have not received a response — adding to parents’ frustration.
Chicago police say they are still determining what led up to the attack, and so far, no arrests have been made.

I can’t stand bullies it’s the fact that this generation is not held accountable! Now if she would have fought back then she would be in jail!!! The judge needs to make the parents take them to a room in the courthouse and give them 30 mins. To beat the azz!!! Once done ship they axes off and lock the parents up for 30 days!!! Beat they azz!!! Take what they love to do on free time and stick to it!!! Give them cleaning classes, cooking classes, reading classes, math classes, life goal classes!!! The parents need to take classes also because they be needing way to figure out how to break them without hurting them illegally. Nothing wrong with hurting their pride!!! He just put this on the news and yeah she’s looking for help but you just wanna make a story for everybody for the world to see and don’t understand how lives could’ve been lost because she could’ve been stressed. Lost a child that’s murder. Her baby could’ve been beat worse than what he was or her hair could’ve been pulled out that’s torture. She was even beat. You have some good thoughts, but it’s not the drugs or the parents on the drugs. It’s the children in the law system parents on drugs having children has nothing to do with the way that they act because they are easily redirected from birth so there’s no way we can sit and make this a pretty conversation without calling a spade of spade. It is simply the justice system and they’re trying to strippers of our rights and try to take control of our children, which letting them know when they go to school that as long as you feel that you are being neglected or being hurt come to us and we’ll go into the house and we’ll take you out I will control your mother will control. Your father will control your family to make it where you can feel more safe or be more safe no That’s not it. They need the a*s beat. Corporal punishment is a nice word but it don’t mean shit they need to have programs that these kids take that are out here with doing this and I’m talking about strategic strict programs and the parents need to have their own program because some of them are the issue not all but so so you know expect as a spade and whether is red black blue or white it doesn’t matter. They have emotional stress, physical trauma you look at the video if anybody wants to be educated, we can see what’s going on here so the parents sue the child but most of all we all have to pay attention is the government what they are trying to strip us up and trying to make us be is not what is going on here this new generation they don’t care you can see it in their eyes. These kids along with so many others don’t have to be worried about consequences because there aren’t any. What you see is animalistic behavior. There is no thought of right or wrong, you have the instigators who are taking video for likes, the more they get the animals riled the better the footage.

This made me beyond angry! Every last child in that video needs to be identified and sent to juvenile detention! They’re minors so they’ll get full protections! Addressing their parents will do nothing because that’s definitely learned behavior!

It’s about the judicial system about the law that started this don’t beat your kid or don’t do this. Why yes because someone were being abused, but you look at this. They fall for the okey-doke and want to fit in to feel irrelevant in someone’s life. then you have the teachers that really can’t diagnose the issue, but they see things that watching things and then they’re sitting there. Don’t wanna be at their own job. Don’t wanna deal with the kids because they’re not getting paid enough and I can totally understand that, but then this is when they become messy maidens they want to see the kids fight. This is unacceptable. Lockdown facilities for the kids and parents. Mental health and behavioral for all involved. And the school needs replacements for everyone who the matter was brought up to since they didnt feel the need to be attentive to bullying.
