Rapper John-Michael “Ca$h Out” Gibson, best known for his 2011 hit “Cashin’ Out”, has officially been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted on state charges including RICO, rape, aggravated sodomy, pimping, and sex trafficking.

The Fulton County jury reached its verdict last week, finding the 34-year-old guilty on multiple serious charges, despite being acquitted on a third trafficking count. On Monday morning, the judge sentenced Gibson to life without parole.

DA Fani Willis: ‘It Was a Pimp Ring Disguised as a Label’
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said Ca$h Out ran a sex-trafficking ring under the front of his record label, Pyrez Music Group LLC. Prosecutors say his mother, Linda Smith (aka Mama Ca$h), and cousin Tyrone Taylor helped recruit young women online and force them into prostitution, using violence, rape, and food deprivation to control them.
The disturbing operation, which authorities say began nearly a decade ago, unraveled in 2019 when a prostitution sting at a Gwinnett County hotel led to multiple arrests.
From Billboard to Behind Bars
Ca$h Out’s fall from fame has been steep. After signing to Epic Records in 2011, he quickly became a name with “Cashin’ Out” and later dropped hits like “She Twerkin’.” His debut album Let’s Get It earned buzz, but by 2023, the streets were talking for all the wrong reasons.

A 41-count indictment dropped in June 2023 listed 13 counts of rape and sex trafficking, setting up the very real possibility of decades behind bars—a future that became a reality Monday morning.
