The same teen who had the internet up in flames earlier this month after Kinston police were caught on camera punching him while he lay on the ground having a seizure is back in the headlines.
18-year-old Cameron Williams, who was filmed being punched multiple times by a Kinston Police Department (KPD) corporal, Andrew Beck, during a July 13 arrest at the Richard Green Apartments, has now been arrested again—this time on serious gun-related charges.

VIRAL VIDEO: Kinston Police Officer Seen Punching 18-Year-Old During Aggressive Arrest
That July 13 arrest sparked city-wide outrage when the video showed Williams, already subdued, being held down and punched, even as he appeared to be convulsing on the ground. Activists flooded social media, demanding accountability from the KPD and calling for big changes in how the city polices its people.
Williams was initially charged with resisting a public officer and communicating threats, accused of telling the officer, “I’mma beat yo a*s,” while pulling away and allegedly threatening others on the scene. He made his way out on a $15,000 bond… but freedom didn’t last long.
NEW CHARGES: Gunplay & More
Fast forward to Monday, July 28: Kinston detectives raided Williams’ crib at Carver Courts while investigating a Saturday shooting at Richard Green Court that left one man wounded.
Police say they recovered two firearms, ammunition & weapon accessories, and one gun reported stolen out of Greenville.
Williams is facing possession of a stolen firearm, communicating threats, and resist, obstruct, and delay a public officer charges.

And because he was already out on bond. He’s now being held without bond for violating pretrial release conditions.
