California man arrested for statutory rape and kidnapping
A 21-year-old California man, Cameron Jacob Blondeel-Timmerman, has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including statutory rape and kidnapping, following a multi-state investigation by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO).
The investigation started when the parents of a 15-year-old girl reported her missing on Feb. 4. They last saw their daughter on Feb. 3, prompting an urgent search. Investigators learned that on January 31, the teenager had met Blondeel-Timmerman at a hotel before he returned to Los Angeles, California.
Further investigation revealed that on Feb.4, the juvenile boarded a Greyhound bus bound for Los Angeles, where Blondeel-Timmerman was located.
Working in coordination with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, NHCSO detectives were able to intercept the girl at a bus stop in El Paso, Texas. She was taken into custody and has since been safely reunited with her parents.
Meanwhile, Blondeel-Timmerman was apprehended by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and later extradited to New Hanover County, North Carolina News, to face serious criminal charges.
He faces the following charges:
- Two counts of statutory rape of a child
- Two counts of first-degree kidnapping
- Two counts of indecent liberties with a minor
- One count of abduction of a child

Blondeel-Timmerman is currently being held without bond at the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
