BUSTED! North Carolina Jeweler and gay best friend caught in bed together, shot in Charlotte

This is the case of ‘Lovers & Friends’

Word On The Curb…a mall jeweler from Jacksonville, North Carolina, seems to have stirred up a lot of trouble for himself in the Tar Heel state, particularly in Charlotte and Raleigh. Rumor has it that this jeweler known as ‘Mondo The Jeweler’ in the streets but Armand Kareem Davis Jr. on paperwork, found himself in a rather compromising situation with his openly gay bestie.

The scandalous footage, which has been kept wrapped tightly by Mondo until now, has finally come to light thanks to The North Carolina Beat. In a sad attempt to downplay the scandal, Mondo insisted that despite the incriminating video of him and his bestie cozying up in bed with no clothes on, they were both under their own separate blankets.

‘Mondo The Jeweler’ shot, robbed, and carjacked in Charlotte

Sources informed The North Carolina Beat that earlier this month, on July 1st, Mondo was carjacked, robbed, and shot on South Mint Street, near the intersection with West Summit Avenue, close to establishments like 1501 South Mint and the nightclub Cloud Southend.

According to WCNC, the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a bar. The outlet reported that the victim told the police that the “suspects” shot him and stole his car. Sources informed The North Carolina Beat that the man mentioned in the article was the flamboyant mall jeweler who also got beaten up that night.

After the shooting, sources say Mondo made a dramatic entrance at a nearby hospital. He had allegedly been snitching on a lot of people in Charlotte, that brought problems to him.

It also appears he is unaware that the people around him are not his friends, and they even gave The North Carolina Beat a photo of the alleged rat with his arm in a sling from the night of the shooting.

Furthermore, after Mondo left the hospital, he hightailed it back to Jacksonville for safety. However, even in Jacksonville, sources informed The North Carolina Beat that Mondo was spat on after he was confronted for trying to flirt with another man’s woman, who worked at a jewelry store in the Jacksonville Mall.

Of course, Mondo testified to the detectives.

In April, a North Carolina blog, unpluggedtv_, posted a video on its Instagram showing Mondo in Raleigh being knocked out by a man. The caption reads Charlotte, but the incident actually happened in Raleigh, as clarified by a person in the comment section of the video. The location of the knockout in is unclear.

Mondo The Jeweler in bed with his gay bestie

In a video, Mondo is shown tightly wrapped in bed with another man named Kevin, who is openly gay and is Mondo’s best friend.

There’s no audio in the video, but it shows someone walking inside what seems to be a hotel room with Mondo and Kevin on a small Queen size bed, leaving plenty of room at the edge. The original video we received had a caption that read, “y’all like hanging w a rat & fa**ot…you in bed w a full blown gay ni**a naked”, and the person tagged Mondo’s Instagram page.

But the video was kind of blurry, so we decided to show you a clearer version of the video. It’s funny how Mondo flash his money around but seemed to be short of cash to get another room. What’s even weird about it is, that the mall jeweler was comfortable with being recorded and did not seem interested in laying at the foot of the bed, while Kevin laid at the head of the bed or vice versa.

After The North Carolina Beat got their hands on the video, we decided to hit up Mondo for a comment. His reaction? A chuckle followed by a cheeky inquiry about the price tag for keeping it under wraps. We had to set the record straight with Mondo that we don’t deal in hush money for our stories.

“Even tho we only homeboys & cool but the video is overly stressing him out so I’ve just been paying or asking blogs to remove it because lord knows,” Mondo said in response back to us.

Mondo called us, pleading for us to spare him from the story, but we stood firm in our decision. We notified him on Friday that we were proceeding with the story and offered him the opportunity to share his side of the story. Feel free to peruse the remaining messages for more details.

CHECK OUT MESSAGES BELOW:

Suddenly on Saturday, a message from Mondo landed in our inbox, complete with outdated addresses and my actual social security number. It seemed like a feeble attempt to scare us off from pursuing the story. To add to the drama, we stumbled upon some hush-hush details suggesting that Mondo was peddling my social security number around, even going as far as bribing other blogs to post it.

Armand Kareem The Jeweler sentenced to unsupervised probation; barred from possessing weapons

After digging deeper into Mondo’s background, we discovered that he is currently on unsupervised probation in Wake County until October 3, 2024. This all stems from a little scuffle with the law last June when he decided to play hide-and-seek with a public officer while carrying a hidden weapon. Fast forward to April, a Wake County judge decided to cut him some slack by giving him a deferred prosecution deal.

As part of this sweet deal, Mondo has to behave himself for 6 months, attend some CCG classes, clock in 50 hours of community service at a charity of his choice, and surrender his rights to his gun.

CHECK OUT COURT DOCUMENT BELOW:

The North Carolina Beat recently uncovered some juicy details from court records. It turns out that back in January, Mondo got himself into a bit of trouble for zipping through a red light, swerving all over the road, and driving without a license.

According to the court documents, on the night of January 27, the Apex Police caught Mondo red-handed (pun intended) behind the wheel of a flashy red Mercedes Benz that blatantly ignored a red light on Kelly Road. When the officer tried to pull him over, Mondo decided to kick it into high gear, speeding past the limit and veering all over the road before making a sharp turn onto Evens Rd.

But here’s where it gets interesting – Mondo apparently confessed to the officer that he was scared because he believed that “Raleigh and Apex police kill black people.” However, the court citation document reveals that Mondo is actually ‘Hispanic’. The officer’s notes also mention that Mondo seemed unsure if he was packing any heat and, to top it off, his driver’s license was already suspended.

CHECK OUT CITATION BELOW:

Mondo was stopped by the Wake County Sheriff on June 25, 2024, following their observation of a dark-colored Chevrolet Camaro traveling at an excessive speed in a northerly direction on Bethlehem Road. The law enforcement officer reported issuing a citation to the driver, identified as Mondo, for driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

SEE CITATION BELOW:

As per legal records, Mondo has neglected to fulfill a financial obligation linked to the citation, leading to an unpaid amount of $243.00 as of July 16, 2024. His forthcoming court appearance concerning this citation is scheduled for July 25, 2024, at the Wake County Courthouse.

  1. A black man gets arrested. A black man in his own blanket talking on a phone (and it’s “caught” on tape). A black man has a friend who is gay….Is this Alabama-style news? I supposed I am supposed to hate “Mondo(?)” a dude living his life, but after reading your obsession journal that you have made public, I would find the story behind your petty, childish, stalky, weird non-news much more interesting. Why are you angry? We are in a world set up for both of you to fail, you being a real Crabby Patty; pulling both of you down into the a bucket.

  2. If Kevin is openly gay, why is he suicidal being caught with a man in bed? IDGI. It sounds like Mondo is the one who has an issue with the video and not Kevin
