Law enforcement and bloodhound teams are searching for 19-year-old Aliyeh Smith after she left a caretaker’s home in Morven, North Carolina.
ANSON COUNTY, N.C. – Authorities in Anson County, North Carolina, are searching for a 19-year-old woman who walked away from a caretaker’s residence Tuesday morning and has not been seen since.
According to the Anson County Sheriff’s Office, Aliyeh Smith, 19, left a residence located at 506 South Leak Street in the Morven area at approximately 9:45 a.m. on March 10, 2026.
Deputies said the situation was not immediately reported. Investigators later learned that Smith’s caretaker did not realize she had left the residence until around 1:50 p.m., nearly four hours after she was last seen. At that point, authorities were contacted and a search effort began.
Law enforcement officers, along with the Sheriff’s Office Bloodhound Tracking Team, searched the surrounding area for several hours Tuesday in an effort to locate Smith. Despite the search, authorities said they were unable to determine her whereabouts.
Sheriff Scott Howell said investigators are continuing to follow leads and are asking for assistance from the public.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen Smith or who has information about where she may be to contact authorities.
Anyone with information is asked to call Anson County 911 immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing.
