Terrence Thomas Drops Receipts Exposing Champagne Pearson Lies in Kinston NC Domestic Violence Case
A messy baby- drama situation out of Kinston, NC is blowing up online after a local man decided he was done staying quiet and dropped what he says are receipts proving his baby mama lied on him in court.
Terrence Thomas took to Facebook Thursday and aired out years of alleged drama involving his children’s mother, Champagne Pearson, accusing her of fabricating domestic violence allegations that nearly destroyed his life.
According to Thomas, he kept silent for four years while the accusations followed him everywhere.
“I lost my job, my car, my reputation, and still chose not to go back and forth or defend myself,” Thomas wrote in a lengthy Facebook post dated April 12.
But now, he says he’s done protecting people.
“I’ve been patient long enough. If everything said about me was true, then let’s put it all out there. The videos, the statements, everything sworn under oath. Let people see the truth for themselves.”
On Thursday, Thomas uploaded court paperwork from 2022 showing Pearson previously filed charges accusing him of assault on a female and assault by pointing a gun.
In one document labeled “Complaint and Motion for Domestic Violence Protective Order,” Pearson claimed the incident happened on September 16, 2022, while she was picking up their oldest daughter.
According to Pearson’s statement, Thomas became upset because she refused to let their daughter spend the night before school the next day.
Pearson alleged she realized the child forgot her bookbag, went back to Thomas’ door to retrieve it, and claimed things allegedly turned violent after she stepped inside the home.
“As soon as I stepped inside he grabbed me by my neck and threw me on the floor,” the complaint stated.
Pearson further alleged Thomas repeatedly punched her in the head and kicked her while she was on the ground. She also claimed he later forced her outside, grabbed a gun, pointed it in her face, and began recording her while threatening to shoot her.
She additionally claimed their daughter witnessed the alleged gun incident before getting back into the vehicle.
But according to Thomas — and the video he later released — that is not what happened at all.
The footage Thomas uploaded appears to show Pearson aggressively knocking on his door while arguing about a bookbag. In the video, Thomas can allegedly be heard calmly telling her multiple times to stop banging on the door and saying he would bring the bag outside.
However, moments later, Pearson allegedly forced her way into the residence anyway.
“Get out my house! Get out my house! Get the f*** out my house!” Thomas can repeatedly be heard yelling in the video while Pearson is inside his home.
The footage also appears to show Thomas with his firearm as he was trying to get Pearson removed from inside the home. At one point, Pearson can allegedly be heard asking, “You gonna shoot me?”
Pearson also asked the court for temporary custody of their children and requested that Thomas not be allowed on school grounds or anywhere near her. She additionally asked the judge to order him to stay at least 500 feet away.
