Singer D4vd arrested by LAPD Robbery-Homicide detectives in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
LOS ANGELES, CA – D4vd — the viral “Romantic Homicide” singer with millions of streams and TikTok fans — has been cuffed by LAPD Robbery-Homicide detectives on suspicion of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
Sources told TMZ the 21-year-old David Anthony Burke was taken into custody Thursday and is being held without bail. The same luxury ride where cops discovered the teen’s decomposing, partially dismembered remains stuffed in a bag in the front trunk back in September 2025.
The Gruesome Discovery
It all started when tow yard workers in Hollywood caught a whiff of something foul coming from an impounded black Tesla. Inside the frunk was a cadaver bag containing Celeste’s head and torso. She’d been dead for weeks, authorities say, and the car was registered straight to D4vd.
The vehicle had been towed after sitting abandoned on a street near a Beverly Hills-area crash pad the singer was using. Celeste — a 14-year-old from the area who’d been reported missing multiple times — was wearing a tube top, black leggings, and jewelry when her remains were found.
Court docs later named D4vd as the “target” of a grand jury probe for one count of murder. Prosecutors pushed hard, even trying to force his Texas-based family members to testify. A close friend and streamer, Neo Langston, got arrested for dodging a subpoena before eventually showing up.
D4vd blew up with moody anthems like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me”, racking up tens of millions of streams and a massive young fanbase. He was on tour — performing the night after the body was discovered.
