Gospel artist Marvin Sapp and his new wife are trending again, but this time it ain’t about closing the doors and not letting people out… but it’s about people counting their pockets. And the new wife wasn’t having it.

During an Easter Sunday service at The Chosen Vessel Church in Fort Worth, Texas, Cole got on the the mic and addressed the internet comments head-on — specifically the rumors claiming their lavish March 20 wedding was funded by church money.

Cole praised Sapp who was standing off to the side while dragging the internet at the same time – and social media say they already don’t like her.

But whether we like her or not – she made it crystal clear that the church did not pay for that wedding.

“Y’all stop lying,” she told the congregation, calling out online fans who’ve been side-eyeing the couple’s big day.

She doubled down, defending her new husband’s character and making it clear he’s not out here with his hands in the cookie jar. Then she dropped another “none of your business” moment—claiming that the helicopter from the wedding was paid for by her.

Cole reminded everybody that both she and Sapp have multiple streams of income outside the church, basically telling folks to stop assuming pastors are broke or living off offerings.

“Everybody not broke,” she said.

The backlash didn’t come out of nowhere.

It comes months after an old video resurfaced showing Sapp during a 2024 service telling ushers to “close the doors” while collecting an offering.

But according to his wife, y’all got it twisted.

She stood ten toes down, saying God has blessed them — and they didn’t need to touch church money to fund their lifestyle.
