A Waxhaw murder suicide has left a quiet North Carolina community shaken after police say a husband allegedly killed his wife inside their home before taking his own life Thursday afternoon.
WAXHAW, N.C. —Police say a husband and wife are now both dead in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide inside their own home.
According to authorities, officers rushed to a residence on Pescott Glen Park Drive near Waxhaw-Marvin Road around 4:15 p.m. Thursday, after getting a call for help.
But when they got there… it was already too late.
WHAT POLICE WALKED INTO
Investigators say they found 49-year-old Inol Toussaint outside in the backyard with a gunshot wound that appears to have been self-inflicted.
Then came another heartbreaking discovery upstairs…
His wife, Euster Toussaint, was found dead inside the home.

Detectives believe the husband allegedly killed his wife inside the house, then walked outside and took his own life shortly after.
SBI CALLED IN
Because of the severity of the case, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has stepped in to help break everything down and figure out exactly what led up to this deadly moment.
Police say they do NOT believe this was random, and there is no danger to the public, calling it an isolated situation inside the home.
No further details have been released.
